Paraprofessional, Colorado College, 2006-2007

I am currently employed as a paraprofessional for the Colorado College Department of Mathematics and Computer Science for the 2006-2007 academic year.

Responsibilities:

Tutor and Grader, Colorado College, 2003-2006

As an undergraduate, I worked as a tutor and grader for the Colorado College Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. I tutored students in prob-stat, calculus (single variable and multivariable), linear algebra, number theory, and abstract algebra. I graded for linear algebra.

First Year Experience Mentor, Colorado College, 2004-2006

Colorado College has a peer mentor program for incoming first year students. I mentored for three first year classes during my junior and senior years.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with professors to determine my role as mentor for
    • Calculus and the Liberal Arts (two years)
    • Introduction to African Studies

    • Reading papers and providing feedback

Chaplain’s Office Intern, Colorado College, 2004-2005

For a year and a half, I worked as Chaplain’s Office Intern for the Colorado College Chaplain’s Office.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Chaplain’s Office website
  • Organize and advertise Chaplain’s Office Events, including
    • Shove Council, a multifaith discussion group
    • Faculty and Faith, a forum for faculty to discuss their faith and its role in their academic lives
    • Recovering from Religion, a support group for students and faculty recovering from detrimental religious experiences
